Sterling Silver Orbicular Ocean Jasper® Statement Pendant
This large statement pendant features an Ocean Jasper® cabochon, set in .925 sterling silver. It measures 3" long x 2" wide, including the bale, which will accommodate a chain, collar, or leather cord up to 7mm in diameter. The total weight (stone + silver) is 29.73 grams.
The cabochon has numerous dark green and white orbs on a gray background. It also has some metallic flecks and a few pockets of druse on the back.
Ocean Jasper® is a trademarked name for orbicular jasper, a stone that was discovered in Madagascar in the late 1990’s. It is well known for its swirling patterns of multiple colors and dots, caused by orbs that formed inside the material. Ocean Jasper® was first introduced to the market at the Tucson gem show in January of 2000.
