Tektites and Impactites

For thousands of years, mankind has been fascinated with our sky and the heavenly bodies that exist there.  On rare occasions when tektites and impactites fell to earth, these stones became the source of legends and folklore for civilizations all over the world. Scientists have studied them for years, and theories about their formation have been developed, but no one can be 100% sure about how or why these powerful “space gems” appeared on our planet.  They will most likely be forever shrouded in mystery.
