Our Story

Welcome to Gemaura.com!  My name is Nicole, and I’m so glad you’re here!  I founded this company in 2018 with the dream of sharing my passion for gemstones, crystals, and jewelry.

I have loved everything that sparkles since I was a little girl. After spending many years working behind a desk in the corporate world, I decided to make a major career change and enrolled in the Graduate Gemologist program at the Gemological Institute of America. Shortly after graduating in 2004, I started my new career in the jewelry business. Within two years, I was selling gemstones and jewelry on national television, as a host for a major shopping network. I went on to work for additional networks before leaving the spotlight 11 years later.

Working in the jewelry industry opened up an entirely different world to me. I was exposed to so many wonderful people and places, including Tucson, Arizona – the site of the largest gem, mineral and fossil showcase in the world. That is where my love affair with crystals first began.

Eager to learn more, I enrolled as a student with the Hibiscus Moon Crystal Academy in 2019 and graduated as a Certified Crystal Practitioner in 2020. I continued my studies and went on to become certified as an Advanced Crystal Master in 2022. 

Now, it’s my dream to continue learning, growing, and sharing everything that I have learned over the past 20+ years. Someday, I want to be able to look back and know that the crystals, gems, and jewelry that were purchased from Gemaura® are loved and cherished, and that they will be passed down to future generations. Through information and education, I hope to inspire people to continue to learn about these amazing treasures that we are so privileged to have in our lives, so that the chain of knowledge and education will continue long after I am gone.
