This loose gemstone parcel contains 12 round brilliant cut sapphires measuring 2 to 2.5 millimeters in diameter. The total weight is approximately .965 carats. 

 Sapphire is the traditional birthstone for the month of September and is often given as a gift for a 45th wedding anniversary.  While blue sapphire can easily be found in retail stores, “fancy colored” sapphires like these are less common.  

The stones in this parcel are various shades of yellow. Some of them have hints of orange and green.  Sapphires are routinely heated to enhance their color.
