Description
These geodes were discovered by a geologist and his daughter in Patagonia, Argentina. They range in size from 1 to 4 inches and are very rare. The crystals inside are known in the trade as “pink amethyst,” however gemologists define amethyst as “purple quartz.” So, by gemological standards, they are not technically amethyst. The delicate to dark pink coloring is caused by iron that was exposed to natural radiation, as well as hematite. Both of which entered the crystals during formation.
Pink “amethyst” is said to be deeply healing to both the physical and emotional bodies. It is especially beneficial to the heart and lungs and can aid us in making a conscious and loving connection to our inner child. These crystals can also be used for spiritual protection and to repair holes or weaknesses in the auric field.
